Computation and Nanotechnology: Toward the Fabrication of Complex Hierarchical Structures
نویسنده
چکیده
Enormous progress has been made in recent years in the nanostructuring of materials, and a variety of techniques are available for fabricating bulk materials with a desired nanostructure. However, the higher levels of organization have been neglected, and nanostructured materials are assembled into macroscopic structures using techniques that are not essentially different from those used for conventional materials. We argue that the creation of complex hierarchical systems, with specific structures from the nanoscale up through the macroscale, and especially post-Moore’s Law nanocomputers, will require a close alignment of computational and physical processes. * This report is an unedited draft of portions of the Editorial Preface, “Computation and Nanotechnology,” for the International Journal of Nanotechnology and Molecular Computation 1, 1

Fabrication of Copper and Iron Nano/Micro Structures on Semiconducting Substrate and Their Electrical Characterization
In this paper, we have studied the electrical properties of the randomly distributed metallic (Co and Fe) nano/ micro wires on Silicon substrate. Deposition was carried out potentiostatically into the pores of the track-etch polycarbonate membrane spin coated onto the Si substrate. Spin coated films were irradiated with 150MeV Ni (+11) ions at a fluence of 8E7 ions/cm2, followed by UV irradiati...
متن کاملEmerging Nanotechnology and It’s Impact on Electronic Circuit Designing
In order to have computation and communication always available and ready to serve the user in an intelligent way, the devices must be mobile, autonomous and robust. Increased data rates, intelligence, limited size and restrictions on the power consumption are certain limitations of the current technologies. However, nanotechnology could provide the solutions of above limitations by the design,...
متن کاملFabrication of PGS/CaTiO3 Nano-Composite for Biomedical Application
Biodegradable elastomeric materials are gaining extensive attention in the field of soft tissue engineering. Poly (glycerol sebacate) (PGS) is a novel biocompatible elastomer in this scope. However this polymer has poor mechanical properties especially when the molar ratio of glycerol is higher than sebacic acid. Calcium Titanate (CaTiO3) is a biocompatible ceramic with some degr...
متن کاملHIERARCHICAL COMPUTATION OF HERMITE SPHERICAL INTERPOLANT
In this paper, we propose to extend the hierarchical bivariateHermite Interpolant to the spherical case. Let $T$ be an arbitraryspherical triangle of the unit sphere $S$ and let $u$ be a functiondefined over the triangle $T$. For $kin mathbb{N}$, we consider aHermite spherical Interpolant problem $H_k$ defined by some datascheme $mathcal{D}_k(u)$ and which admits a unique solution $p_k$in the ...

The aim of this work is to evaluate the influence of fabrication methods on the com-pressive properties of sandwich composites using both experimental work and numerical simulations. Two types of sandwich composites with E-glass/Kevlar/polyester resin facings and End-grain balsa wood as core have been produced by vacuum infusion processing (VIP) and hand-lay up (HL) method. Compression tests on...
